make the antenna, strip 4cm instead of just 1cm and don't make the bottom bend.
Move the antenna about on the back and sides of your phone while watching the
signal meter. Eventually you will see a jump in the signal meter. That means
the antenna is over your phone's internal antenna. What it is doing is
passively radiating the signal through the phone's case. It's not as effective
as the example in the video, but some gain is better than no gain at all.
